Glamis Sand Dunes Boho Couples Session | Elyssa + Austin

First off you may be thinking that doesn't look like Florida, well you are 10000% right hahaha! These EPIC dunes sit on the border of California + Arizona and I actually grew up just minutes from them! I love every chance I get to go back and see them! Not to mention shoot at them. If you ever get the chance to go see them GOOOOO!!! Parts of Star Wars and other movies were filmed there and its just so unreal in person. And pro tip: find the steepest slope of sand you can and run STRAIGHT DOWN IT AS FAST AS YOU CAN. trust me its like flying. My freaking favorite thing to do.

I reached out to Elyssa + Austin to model for this shoot while I was in town for a wedding!! I knew I had to shoot Elyssa the moment I saw her hair. LIKE ARE KIDDINGGGG. I contacted a florist a few weeks before to see if she would be interested in providing some pretty desert vibe blooms and thank goodness she said yes because I think they MADE the photos. Now I just need to talk all my brides into getting florals for their engagement sessions!!!

Funny story, I helped Elyssa pick out her dress a few weeks before but then she showed up in the cutest neutral two piece lounge set and I was like “I know this is a little weird but I am OBSESSED with what you have on, could I shoot you in that as the casual look” THANK THE GOOD LORD she said yes… because I mean…. look….
